President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law “On seed”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law “On seed”.

The law is aimed at improving the mechanism for regulating relations in the field of seed production, creating favorable conditions for the export of seeds, defining the rights and obligations of subjects in the field of seed production.

The law defines the main directions of state policy in the field of seed production, which envisage the creation of favorable conditions for attracting investment, developing infrastructure and service services, developing research and development and introducing modern forms of activity, creating an effective system of propagating seeds and providing consumers with them harvesting, processing, storage, use and sale of seeds.

The procedure for maintaining the register of seed producers is also determined.
