Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14 October, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, in Baku.

Head of the Hungarian government sincerely congratulated the leader of Uzbekistan on the accession of the country to the Council. Confidence was expressed that the development of cooperation within the framework of this organization would serve to deepen the multifaceted partnership between the two countries.

Prospects of interaction in trade, economic, investment, financial and cultural-humanitarian spheres were considered at the meeting.

The importance of regular meetings of the joint Intergovernmental Commission for promoting practical cooperation projects, primarily in agriculture, livestock, industry, pharmaceuticals, tourism and other areas, was emphasized.

Current issues of the international agenda, including partnership in Uzbekistan – EU format, were also considered.
