Alexander Tkachev arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit in line with the order of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Russia are dynamically developing and strengthening. He added that cooperation is also expanding in various areas, including agriculture.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Alexander Tkachev discussed issues of ensuring food security, creating favorable conditions and modern trade and logistics infrastructure to increase the volume of direct supplies of agricultural products.
The parties noted importance of strengthening cooperation and establishment of joint ventures in the agrarian sector, including deep processing of agricultural products, production of seed and veterinary drugs.
The parties agreed to expand cooperation in the field of training qualified specialists.
Alexander Tkachev noted Russia is interest in developing cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of agriculture.
