Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that the regions of Uzbekistan and Russia are stepping up cooperation within the framework of agreements, reached at the highest level and an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation between the regions of the two states.
The parties considered issues of further development of practical cooperation and its filling with concrete content.
In particular, the sides discussed issues of increasing trade turnover and implementation of investment projects in the oil and gas, petrochemical and chemical industries, automotive and mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, information technology and other areas.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Rustam Minnikhanov underlined importance of intensifying contacts and implementing joint programs in education, science, healthcare, cultural and humanitarian exchanges, as well as tourism.
The President of Tatarstan confirmed readiness to expand and deepen multi-faceted cooperation with Uzbekistan.
