Uzbek leader congratulated Shuvalov on his appointment of the chairman of the Russian part of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan said.

During the meeting, the sides discussed development of practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia and acceleration of investment projects and implementation of new promising programs in high-tech industries.

Igor Shuvalov confirmed readiness of the Russian Federation to develop and strengthen full-scale cooperation with Uzbekistan in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance.
