President of Uzbekistan receives delegation of South Korea

Uzbek President sincerely congratulated the leadership and the friendly Korean people on successful holding of the Inter-Korean summit in Panmunjom on 27 April.

The dynamic development of strategic partnership and expansion of multifaceted interaction between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea were noted with deep satisfaction.

The agreements reached on results of the summit visit to South Korea in November 2017 brought bilateral cooperation to a higher level, filling it with a qualitatively new content - concrete projects and programs in various areas.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for further deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between two countries, including the trade, economic, financial, investment, innovation and humanitarian spheres, including education and health.

There was also an exchange of views on topical issues of international politics and regional cooperation.

Song Young-gil expressed his deep gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for warm welcome and sincere congratulations, and also conveyed warm greetings and best wishes on behalf of the President of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Moon Jae-in.

The Korean side assured of interest in consistent expansion and strengthening of a full-scale and multi-format partnership between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea in order to ensure peace, stability and sustainable development in a vast region.
