The Presidents of the two countries discussed current state and prospects for development of Uzbek-Bulgarian relations.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Rumen Radev noted the need to open a new page in cooperation of Uzbekistan and Bulgaria.

The heads of state drew attention to mutually beneficial nature of the Uzbek-Bulgarian cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment, transport-communication, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

It was noted that Uzbekistan and Bulgaria have a close position on regional and international issues, which is foundation for development of bilateral relations.

The sides exchanged views on development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of transport and communications, tourism, education, culture.

The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Bulgaria decided to hold a regular meeting of the intergovernmental joint commission to develop concrete joint projects in various fields.

Rumen Radev noted that Bulgaria appreciates reforms under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to develop the country’s economy, efforts to strengthen inter-state dialogue in Central Asia.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited the President of Bulgaria to pay a visit to Uzbekistan at a convenient time for him.
