President of Uzbekistan meets with members of the International Advisory Council
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 February, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a group of experts from the International Advisory Council, including Alfred Gusenbauer, Aleksander Kwaśniewski, and Štefan Füle.
During the discussions, the parties addressed key issues related to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at providing expert support for the implementation of reforms under the "New Uzbekistan" strategy, as well as expanding multidimensional engagement with European Union countries and institutions.
The significance of practical partnerships in studying and applying advanced international experience, attracting modern technologies, and securing investments to support the modernization of Uzbekistan’s key economic sectors was emphasized.
The participants also exchanged views on pressing international and regional issues in the context of preparations for the upcoming "EU – Central Asia" summit, which is set to take place in Samarkand.
