President of Uzbekistan Meets with Head of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 November, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Binali Yıldırım, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), who arrived in Uzbekistan to attend the International Forum on Multimodal Transportation.

At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the President of Uzbekistan.

During the talks, the two sides discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, noting the growing role of the Council of Elders in coordinating and promoting multilateral initiatives.

Special attention was given to the practical implementation of strategic proposals put forward by Uzbekistan at the OTS summits held earlier this year in Budapest and Gabala.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed developing a “roadmap” aimed at strengthening the institutional capacity of the Council of Elders and advancing joint projects focused on preserving national traditions, spiritual heritage, and the cultural unity of Turkic peoples.
