President of Uzbekistan Meets with Economic Development Advisor Suma Chakrabarti

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 February, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Suma Chakrabarti, Advisor on Economic Development, Effective Governance, and International Cooperation.

During the meeting, the key areas of the advisor’s work were discussed, focused on supporting the implementation of the objectives outlined in the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy. Particular attention was given to expanding economic opportunities for women, enhancing the capacity of general education institutions, and strengthening strategic communication with investors.

The President emphasized the importance of consistently adopting advanced international practices in the areas of economic reform, public administration, education, and strategic planning.

Measures to further promote the country’s investment potential on the international stage were also discussed, which is considered a priority for ensuring the sustainable development of Uzbekistan’s economy.
