President of Uzbekistan Meets with Compatriots and “El-Yurt Umidi” Scholarship Holders in the United States

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Concluding his working visit to the United States, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with Uzbek compatriots living and working in the country, as well as with scholarship holders of the “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation studying at leading American universities.

The discussion took place in a warm and informal setting. Participants addressed the contributions of the Uzbek diaspora to the implementation of reforms in the New Uzbekistan and exchanged ideas on further strengthening trade, economic, investment, scientific, and educational ties between Uzbekistan and the United States. Special attention was given to the introduction of advanced American technologies in priority sectors of the national economy, the development of innovations in medicine, transport, and logistics, as well as the creation of marketplaces in the country.

During the meeting, the launch of the “International Business Marathon for Compatriots” was announced, aimed at creating a platform for dialogue between young people and successful entrepreneurs from the Uzbek diaspora.

President Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to the compatriots for their contribution to the country’s development and noted that all proposals and initiatives would be carefully studied by the relevant ministries and agencies, with the most promising ones implemented in practice.

Special attention was paid to the “El-Yurt Umidi” scholarship holders, whose number in the United States has already exceeded 500. The President emphasized that supporting talented youth and creating opportunities for applying their knowledge and experience in Uzbekistan remains a key priority of national policy, wishing the students success in their studies and future professional endeavors.

The compatriots thanked the President for his attention to the diaspora and youth, acknowledged the conditions created for realizing their potential, and assured their readiness to contribute even more to the prosperity of Uzbekistan.
