Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 February, during his visit to Kuwait, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with a delegation led by the Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait, Sheikh Fahad Al-Sabah, at his residence.

The Kuwaiti side was also represented by the Minister of Finance and Investments, Nura Suleiman Al-Fassam; the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Khalifa Abdullah Al-Askar; and the Director of the Investment Agency, Sheikh Saud Al-Sabah.

The main topic of discussion was the practical implementation of agreements reached during the high-level talks held earlier that day. Satisfaction was expressed with the results of the leaders’ meeting, which significantly strengthened Uzbek-Kuwaiti relations and elevated them to a level of comprehensive partnership.

The importance of joint preparations for the upcoming visit of the Emir of Kuwait to Uzbekistan was emphasized. The visit is expected to include participation in the "Central Asia – Cooperation Council of the Arab Gulf States" summit.

The development of trade, economic, and investment relations was identified as a priority task. In this context, the significance of establishing a Joint Investment Platform and Business Council was highlighted, as well as the active support and promotion of joint projects in sectors such as agriculture, logistics and transportation, hydropower, infrastructure, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and others.

An agreement was reached to initiate active contacts and organize mutual visits to advance the joint programs and projects outlined in the "roadmap."
