Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 February, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, extending his heartfelt birthday congratulations.

The Uzbek leader wished the Turkish President good health, well-being, and success in his responsible mission for the sustainable development and prosperity of the brotherly Turkish nation.

During the conversation, President Erdoğan’s significant role and personal contribution to shaping modern Türkiye, strengthening its international standing, and advancing Uzbek-Turkish relations—which have now reached the level of comprehensive strategic partnership—were highlighted.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the active momentum of bilateral cooperation, the expansion of contacts at various levels, and the increasing practical engagement in trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

Special attention was given to the promotion of joint cooperative projects in key areas such as investment, innovation, energy, infrastructure, healthcare, and education.

The leaders also discussed preparations for the upcoming High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting as well as the agenda of summits within the Organization of Turkic States.

Additionally, they exchanged views on pressing international issues.

At the conclusion of the conversation, the two presidents exchanged warm greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, sincerely wishing peace, prosperity, and well-being to the brotherly peoples of Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
