Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 June, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with a delegation of foreign investors, which included Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Al Mirqab Capital, and Adebayo Ogunlesi, Senior Managing Director of the investment firm BlackRock.

During the discussions, the parties explored prospects for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and advancing investment initiatives in Uzbekistan. Special attention was given to priority areas of partnership, including the implementation of large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects within the framework of public-private partnerships.

The conversation specifically focused on the modernization of gas and electric networks, improvement of water supply systems, construction of energy generation and storage facilities, development of a high-speed rail network, as well as the erection of residential and commercial real estate and business infrastructure.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop a “roadmap” aimed at ensuring the consistent and systematic advancement of the planned projects.
