President of Uzbekistan Departs for the United States to Attend First Peace Council Summit

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 February, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for the United States on a working visit at the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump.

As previously reported, Washington will host the first summit of the Peace Council, of which Uzbekistan is one of the founding member states.

During the visit, meetings are planned with U.S. government representatives, as well as a series of business events involving leaders of major companies and financial institutions.
