President of Uzbekistan criticizes Kahramon Kuranbayev

Speaking at a meeting in Altyaryk region with the participation of Ferghana region’s active people, the head of Uzbekistan noted that he does not need high-flown words and stopping weddings on the roads.

He said that people’s worldview must be changed. The President said that the issue of magnificent weddings cannot be solved in one year. In his opinion, first you need to create an environment.

“Stopping weddings, referring to the words of the president, is treason!”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

On 5 June, the head of the Youth Union told Kakhramon Kuranbayev told reporters how he stopped the wedding cortege in Namangan and moved the bride and groom in a taxi. This caused a wide public resonance, daryo.uz reported.
