Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a message to the President of the United Mexican States Enrique Peña Nieto.

The message reads: “With deep sorrow, I received the sad news of numerous human casualties and injuries as a result of the devastating earthquake in southern Mexico.”

The President of Uzbekistan expressed his sincere condolences and conveyed the words of sympathy and support to the entire Mexican people, families and friends of the deceased, as well as the wishes for a speedy recovery to all the injured persons.

An earthquake of magnitude 8 occurred in the southern part of Mexico in the evening on Thursday, 7 September.
