President of Uzbekistan Congratulates Emomali Rahmon on Birthday and Discusses Bilateral Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 October, a phone conversation took place between the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.

President Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated his counterpart on his birthday, wishing him good health, family happiness, prosperity, and continued well-being for the people of brotherly Tajikistan.

He highlighted Emomali Rahmon’s significant role in strengthening Tajikistan’s independence, ensuring sustainable development, and enhancing the country’s international standing, emphasizing his personal contribution to the development of friendly, neighborly, and strategic Uzbek-Tajik relations.

The leaders discussed key issues for further expansion of multifaceted cooperation under agreements reached at the highest level. Special attention was given to forming a new agenda for practical collaboration covering priority areas such as trade, industrial cooperation, transport, energy, agriculture, tourism, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The conversation also included coordination of the schedule and main topics for upcoming bilateral and multilateral high-level events planned in both countries.
