President of Uzbekistan Approves Establishment of New Technical University ToshTech
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan has signed a decree establishing a new Technical University, ToshTech, in Tashkent.
The newly founded university will enjoy academic, financial, and organizational autonomy, enabling it to independently design curricula and manage resources.
Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, the university will launch a one-year preparatory course funded by the state budget.
From the 2026/2027 academic year, undergraduate programs are scheduled to begin, with master’s and postgraduate programs gradually introduced from 2027/2028.
Education at ToshTech will be offered both under state grants and paid contracts, with instruction provided in both national and foreign languages.
Notably, all students admitted before the 2029/2030 academic year will have the opportunity to study entirely under the state-funded grant system.
