President of Uzbekistan Approves Agreement with UAE on Investment Protection and Promotion

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has ratified an international agreement with the United Arab Emirates on the mutual promotion and protection of investments. 

The corresponding decree, No. PP–283, was signed on 15 September 2025.

The agreement, originally signed on 15 January 2025, in Abu Dhabi during the President’s visit to the UAE, establishes legal mechanisms for safeguarding and encouraging investments between the two countries. 

The Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade has been designated as the authorized body responsible for implementing the provisions of the agreement. 

Once the agreement enters into force, the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of relevant agencies will oversee its execution, which is expected to boost investment activity and strengthen economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE.
