President of Turkmenistan to Pay State Visit to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on 16–17 November.
The upcoming high-level talks are expected to focus on further strengthening the strategic partnership and expanding cooperation between the two countries, including political, trade and economic, transport, water and energy, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
During the visit, the two leaders will take part in the launch ceremony of the Shavat–Dashoguz border trade zone. They also plan to discuss pressing issues on the international and regional agenda.
Following the talks, the sides intend to adopt a Joint Statement and sign a package of bilateral documents. In addition, Serdar Berdimuhamedov will join the proceedings of the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
