President of Turkmenistan Awarded the “Oliy Darajali Do‘stlik” Order

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the Kuksaroy Residence, a ceremonial event was held to award the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the highest state honor of the Republic of Uzbekistan — the “Oliy Darajali Do‘stlik” (High-Degree Friendship) Order.

Presenting the award, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that this decision reflects sincere respect and recognition of the Turkmen leader’s contributions to strengthening friendship, mutual trust, and strategic partnership between the two brotherly nations.

“You are successfully continuing the work of your father — the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Large-scale projects are being implemented in your country, creating a reliable foundation for the well-being of the people,” the Uzbek President noted.

The contribution of Serdar Berdimuhamedov to expanding multifaceted Uzbek-Turkmen relations was highlighted, particularly in developing trade, economic, and cooperative ties. Key initiatives include the launch of the Shavat–Dashoguz cross-border trade zone and active collaboration in energy, transport, and logistics.

President Mirziyoyev stressed that the award symbolizes the strong friendship and good-neighborly relations between the two countries.

In response, Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to the leader and people of Uzbekistan for the high recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening strategic partnership between the two states.
