President of Russia to visit Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Russia Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on 10 December on invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, the press service of Kremlin said.

The statement of Kremlin said that it is expected that issues of further developing Uzbek-Russian strategic partnership, first of all, in trade-investment and cultural-humanitarian spheres, will be discussed at negotiations at high level.

The Kremlin said that the leaders of two states will exchange opinion on actual issues of regional security, including situation in Afghanistan.

Uzbekistan and Russia will sign several bilateral documents after negotiations, the statement of Kremlin reads.
