President of Paraguay Visits “Olympic Village” in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Santiago Peña, President of the Republic of Paraguay, is on an official visit to Tashkent.

Today, President Peña visited the “Olympic Village,” where he was briefed on ongoing reforms in the sports sector in Uzbekistan.

During the visit, he was accompanied by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Sports Adkham Ikramov, Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov, and First Deputy Chairperson of the National Olympic Committee Otabek Umarov.

The guest highlighted the significance of the complex, established at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, for the development of sports in the country and noted that he left the visit deeply impressed by what he saw.
