President of Paraguay Arrives in Uzbekistan on Official Visit

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Paraguay Santiago Peña arrived in Uzbekistan on 11 December. He was welcomed at Tashkent-Humo International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Qo‘chqorov and other senior officials.

During his stay in the capital, high-level talks are planned, during which the parties will discuss prospects for expanding political, trade and economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries. Special attention will be given to practical cooperation in agriculture, the food and chemical industries, digitalization, tourism, and sports.

The President of Paraguay will also take part in the awards ceremony for winners of competitions held under the auspices of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as well as in the organization’s General Assembly.
