President of Azerbaijan visits the stand of Uzbekneftegaz at the Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekneftegaz with its own stand participates in the largest energy sector event in the Caspian region - the 26th Caspian Oil and Gas International Exhibition (Azerbaijan).

The forum annually brings together top-level managers to discuss key oil and gas projects in the Caspian region and ensure energy security. The oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan was represented by the delegation of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, which was headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Board Ulugbek Sayidov.

As in previous years, at the opening ceremony of Caspian Oil and Gas, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev delivered a welcoming speech. The head of state reviewed the exhibition, including the stand of enterprises and organizations of the oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan.

First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC thanked President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for his attention and spoke about the dynamic development of the Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations in the oil and gas sector, implemented projects with the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan SOCAR.

It was stressed that the framework of the 23rd International Exhibition and Conference “Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan OGU-2019” between Uzbekneftegaz, SOCAR and BP signed a tripartite agreement on the assessment of exploration potential in three investment blocks in the Ustyurt region using advanced methods and technologies. In the same place, another agreement was signed, but with the division of SOCAR - NIPI NEFTEGAZ LLC.

The document defines the main conditions for cooperation to increase hydrocarbon production at the Garbiy Tashli and Sharkiy Tashli, Shimoliy Shurtan and Garmiston fields of the Republic of Uzbekistan using advanced methods and technologies from SOCAR.

In addition, close cooperation has been established between Uzbekneftegaz and SOCAR in the field of training and retraining of specialists, and oil and gas scientists from the two countries regularly exchange experience and knowledge.

In concluding the dialogue, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev wished the delegation of Uzbekneftegaz JSC fruitful and successful participation in Caspian Oil and Gas, new contacts and promising projects.
