President instructs to review procedure of payments r creative figures at retirement age

Uzbek President at the meeting with representatives of the creative intelligentsia on 3 August instructed to review this order within a month.

Currently, pensioners, who receive payment equal to two minimum salaries, will get only 50% of their pensions.

Uzbek President said that the order was introduced by certain short-sighted officials and led to decrease of motivation of figures, who have just achieved creative perfection.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that soon a resolution will be adopted, which will raise the level of royalties for media employees and other creative persons.

He added that "House of Creative Workers" will be built to support writers, artists, actors, filmmakers, composers, journalists and others in Tashkent, Nukus and all regional centers. The housing will be available on preferential terms, the head of state said.
