President congratulates people of Uzbekistan on Eid Al Adha holiday
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on Eid Al Adha.
“I sincerely congratulate you, all the Muslims of our country on the holy holiday of Eid Al Adha, which we are very happy to meet with the entire Muslim Ummah, and I express my best wishes to you,” the congratulatory message says.
“This holiday has been occupying a special place in the spiritual life of our people for centuries, strengthening the atmosphere of mercy, generosity and mutual respect in society. Naturally, on such a bright holiday, we first of all thank the Almighty for today’s peaceful and prosperous days,” the President said.
“As you are well aware, in recent years, Uzbekistan has paid great attention to the revival and enhancement of national and religious values, ensuring freedom of religion, which further enhances friendship, harmony and mutual understanding between representatives of different nations and nationalities living in the country. Of particular note is the ongoing focused work on widespread awareness of the enormous contribution of the Uzbek people to the development of Islamic civilization and culture, the deeply studied scientific and spiritual heritage of our great ancestors, the improvement of sacred places, and it receives wide support from the domestic and foreign public,” he added. .
“Thanks to the created new conditions and opportunities, more than 7,000 of our compatriots make a hajj to the holy Mecca these days. In their prayers, they thank the Almighty for a peaceful and free life in our country, ask for further prosperity of the Motherland,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized.
“With all my heart congratulating all our pilgrims, I wish them health and well-being. I am sure that by their example, by active participation in society, they will make a worthy contribution to the upbringing of the younger generation in the spirit of humanism, honesty and kindness, loyal personalities of Uzbekistan,” he added.

“The wide celebration in the country of Eid Al Adha on the eve of Independence Day inspires all of us even more. These days, the inherent generosity, kindness and mercy inherent in our people are especially pronounced, such good deeds as disinterested care for low-income families, people with disabilities, single elderly people, rendering them material and moral support, improvement of places of worship,” the Uzbek President noted.
“Our reforms in all spheres of life aimed at affirming the priority of human interests in society, the rule of law and justice, are consonant with the humanistic values of our sacred religion, Islam, and we are rightfully proud of our great spiritual heritage,” the head of Uzbekistan underlined.
