President Approves Implementation of Modern Agrotechnologies in Agriculture
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 August, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, signed a decree on the implementation of modern agrotechnologies in agriculture, according to a report published on the Ministry of Justice’s legal information channel.
The document sets out key tasks for modernizing the agricultural sector, including the digitalization of sowing and irrigation processes for various crops across more than 4 million hectares of farmland. In addition, it mandates the integration of over 30 online systems used by farmers into a single platform with full data compatibility.
Starting from the 2026 harvest, agricultural enterprises will have full freedom to choose which crops to cultivate, provided the relevant information is posted on the “Agroportal.” This platform will serve as the central point of interaction between farmers, suppliers, processing enterprises, and agricultural service providers.
Through the “Agroportal,” farmers will be able to order services using agricultural drones, submit applications, conclude contracts, and make payments. Drone operators will receive permits to operate devices at altitudes of up to 30 meters for one year, coordinated with the authorized authorities.
Starting from 1 December, the platform will launch a secondary land lease service, enabling the registration of contracts with state recognition and the execution of payments. From March 2026, the “Agroportal” is planned to accept applications for changes in the category of agricultural land.
