Preschool Education Ministry and Modern Montessori International sign a memorandum of cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 September 2019, the Ministry of Preschool Education signed a memorandum of cooperation with Modern Montessori International, which defines comprehensive assistance for the reforms in the Republic of Uzbekistan system in preschool education and envisages the active implementation of the Singapore system and teaching methodologies in preschool institutions.
In particular, the Memorandum stipulates the implementation of joint projects to organize a Training Center for the preparation of preschool teachers for work according to the Montessori method and the creation of a preschool institution based on international best practices in the city of Tashkent.
Modern Montessori International began its activities in 1989. Currently, the group of Modern Montessori International includes about 100 preschool educational institutions in 14 countries, including Singapore, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and other countries.
As the name implies, Modern Montessori International actively uses the Montessori method in the educational process for preschool children.
The Montessori method was developed and proposed in the first half of the 20th century by an Italian teacher and doctor Maria Montessori. The main principles of the method are: the independence of the child, freedom within the established boundaries, the natural psychological, physical and social development of the child.
