Preparation of media content on culture and art discussed in Uzbek capital

The roundtable was organized by the National Association of Electronic Mass Media (NAESMI) in the UNESCO County Office in Uzbekistan.

The event was aimed at discussing creative plans on coverage of the state programme “The Year of Healthy Children” and modern methods of preparation of social media content on culture, national traditions and customs.

The event was held in interactive format and the participants considered work of the regional TV and radio stations on coverage of culture, art and education. At the event, the participants presented culture and cuisine of each region, radio records, etc.

Krista Pikkat, UNESCO Representative in Uzbekistan, said that it is necessary to prepare reports and TV programmes about cultural values, traditions and customs. The products should analyze them, not just report them, she added.

During the event, the experts of UNESCO and NAESMI determined the best works, the authors of which were awarded within traditional festival “Jurnalistlar Bahori” on 2 May 2014. Vodiy Sadosi won in the nomination “The Best radio material” and Jizzakh TV station – “The Best television material”.
