Premium Hotel Planned for Construction in Samarkand
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Singaporean company plans to build a five-star hotel in Samarkand, the regional hokimiyat press service reported.
During a meeting with the regional hokim Adiz Boboev, the Singaporean investor’s representative, Kan Singh Kapoor, presented the hotel complex project. The regional hokimiyat noted that the project meets modern comfort standards while strictly complying with UNESCO height restrictions for buildings.
The total investment in the project is estimated at US$10 million. The hotel will be constructed within the framework of the joint venture “Singapore — Samarkand,” headed by Kan Singh Kapoor. According to Yandex Maps, the facility is planned to be located less than 1.5 km from Registan Square.
The hokim of Samarkand region instructed relevant specialists to thoroughly study the project documentation, identify potential shortcomings, and prepare recommendations. The final decision on the project’s implementation will be made at a meeting of the city planning council.
Additionally, Adiz Boboev assured the investor of comprehensive support in accordance with the current legislation.
