Power unit disconnected at Novo-Angren thermal power station

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 30 January, at 11 hours 40 minutes to eliminate non-density in the boiler unit, the power unit No. 4 of the Novo-Angren TPP was turned off.

At the same time, the roof of power unit No. 4 was ignited. Primary fire extinguishing equipment was used by the station’s operating personnel, and the forces of fire brigades were also involved. At 14-00 the fire was eliminated. There were no casualties.

At present, the power unit has been put into repair and work is underway to eliminate the comments and restore its operability. A special commission has been set up to investigate this situation.

Currently, three power units with a total capacity of 580 MW are operating at the Novo-Angren Thermal Power Plant.
