Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – In July 2024, experts from the Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Studies (IMRI) conducted their latest monitoring of food prices for 21 items in the largest supermarket chains in Tashkent.
The results of the monitoring showed that the minimum prices for 12 items decreased compared to the previous month. The most significant price decreases were observed for tomatoes (down 64.3%), bananas (down 31.9%), and cucumbers (down 31.1%).
The minimum prices for 9 items remained unchanged, including rice, wheat flour, sugar, and others.
No minimal price increases were recorded for the analyzed items.
The analysis was performed based on monitoring data conducted on 13 June and 11 July.
