Exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia" to determine new vectors of industrial partnership in Central Asian region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22–24 April, the International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia" will be held in Tashkent. 

The organizers of the event are the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. As part of the business program of the exhibition, there will be an extended discussion of new aspects and tools of industrial cooperation at the international, federal and regional levels.

International industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia" will be held in Tashkent for the fourth time. This is a key event for the development of trade and industrial cooperation in Central Asia. The exhibition is designed to solve several important problems, including helping to promote the latest industrial technologies and establish cooperation between enterprises.

Over the past few years, Central Asia has already become a point of attraction for large investors from all over the world. The region’s economic base, from its highly skilled youth to its unique technological heritage, is a powerful launching pad for sustainable development.

Russia and Uzbekistan have been strategic economic partners for more than thirty years. Russia is one of the main investors in the Uzbek economy: total Russian capital investments, according to the Uzbek side, exceeded US$13 billion (21% of total investments). There are over 3,000 Russian and joint ventures operating in the republic, and more than 600 companies with the participation of residents of Uzbekistan are registered in Russia. As a result of the implementation of the previously signed Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Program for 2022–2026, which covers trade, industrial cooperation, transport, energy, agriculture, interregional cooperation and other aspects, the total trade volume of the two countries in 2023 exceeded US$10 billion.

The business program of the exhibition updates the main issues of cooperation. The program will be opened by the main plenary session “International industrial cooperation in Central Asia: partnership with industrial and technological leaders”, in which the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojaev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and relevant ministers is planned countries Session participants will discuss the development of trade and economic relations, flagship projects and prospects for interaction.

At the end of the main plenary session, the heads of delegations will tour the exhibition - guests will be able to get acquainted with innovations in industrial production that will demonstrate the export potential of all participating countries.

Delegations and companies not only from all countries of Central Asia, but also from Belarus, China and Turkey take an active part in the event. As part of the business program, representatives of business and government authorities will discuss the most important issues in the development of international cooperation in the Central Asian region.

Key areas of the business program:

“Green” transport is an unconditional modern trend in the development of Uzbekistan. The Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Modern Transport Technologies, BYD Uzbekistan Factory, RENERA and NAMI will analyze the experience and discuss investments in electric cars and alternative fuel cars.

Digital solutions in the field of integrated industrial control reduce costs and increase productivity. Representatives of the relevant ministries of Uzbekistan and Russia, MCS Holding, ASCON, 1C, Uzmetkombinat and Uzeltehsanoat companies will share their expertise.

“Clean” energy and innovation in the fuel and energy complex are one of the most important strategic directions for Central Asia. The session will bring together stakeholders from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Rosatom, Uzbekneftegaz, Uzatom, Unigreen Energy, and the Institute of Oil and Gas Technological Initiatives.

Uzbekistan is rapidly “outgrowing” its transport infrastructure. Its development requires not only consolidation, but also qualitative renewal. Experts from the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari, VEB.RF, GK 1520, Sinara and Positive Technologies will talk about the prospects for the development of automation of transport routes in cities and industries.

The creation of an international investment ecosystem of industrial parks is a promising vector of development for the fastest growing format of industrial cooperation.

The achieved formats of cooperation will be consolidated by the heads of the Association of Industrial Parks of Russia, Uzkimyosanoat, Himgrad, KIP Master, the Association of Organized Industrial Zones of Turkey (OSBÜK), the Office of Economic Cities and Special Zones of Saudi Arabia.

The topic of interregional cooperation will be one of the key ones on the agenda of the INNOPROM exhibition. Central Asia". The heads of regions of Uzbekistan and Russia will demonstrate the most promising projects, and representatives of the business community and regional experts will discuss steps to implement the announced initiatives.

On the third day of the exhibition, the traditional INNOPROM University will take place. Lectures and seminars are planned for students and young professionals from the management of specialized universities and industrial companies in Russia and Uzbekistan - the conversation will focus on key technological trends and features of business work with leading universities and engineering schools.
