Products under the brand "Made in Uzbekistan" presented in Sochi

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Member enterprises of the Uzcharmsanoat Association took part with the Made in Uzbekistan collective stand in the Eurasia-Our Home International Exhibition, organized in the city of Sochi, Russian Federation, on an area of 7 thousand square meters. At the exhibition, the achievements of the leather industry of our country are represented by 200 types of products.

As part of the exposition, the delegates of the Association held mutually beneficial negotiations with ministries, organizations, associations and companies of the CIS countries. An exchange of contacts took place on the implementation of new joint investment projects and the expansion of exports.

It should be noted that the CIS countries are the largest markets for leather, footwear, haberdashery and fur products produced in Uzbekistan. Participation in this exhibition should serve to further improve export and investment performance.

Currently, member enterprises of the Uzcharmsanoat Association are implementing 7 investment projects with the CIS countries in the amount of US$21.3 million. It is also planned to implement 4 more projects, totaling US$12.6 million.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Prime Minister M. Mishustin visited the booth of Uzbekistan and got acquainted with the production, investment and export potential of our country. He also appreciated the quality of the presented products. Initiatives were put forward to further expand bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and Russia, and to implement joint projects.

  Representatives of the Association, as well as entrepreneurs, held talks with companies and ministries of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
