Dongwuk Lee becomes Deputy Minister of Health and Advisor to Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan appointed Dongwuk Lee to the post of the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan on social development.

Dongwuk Lee will be responsible for preparing proposals for implementation of advanced foreign experience and expert support for health care reforms.

In particular, it is entrusted with such tasks as comprehensive legal regulation of the health sector with the implementation of international standards and WHO recommendations, improving the system of financing and organizing health care, introducing compulsory health insurance, spreading the best practices of public-private partnership and medical tourism, creating favorable conditions and improvement of the competitive environment for the broad attraction of investments in the field, the widespread introduction of systems health care. ”

Dongwuk Lee until this time served as Deputy Minister for Population Policy of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Korea.
