According to the press service of the Ministry of Healthcare, Shadmanov informed the guest about national model of protecting public health and attention, given to this issue by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Uzbek Minister noted that effective and popular solutions have been found to such issues as protection of reproductive health, maternity and childhood, infectious and non-infectious diseases, as well as providing population with quality and safe medicines.

The Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General, Mishel Kazatchkine, highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s achievements in the healthcare sphere for a short period of time and noted that this was facilitated by the legal documents adopted in the sphere and strong state policy.

He also highly appreciated practical importance of Presidential decrees and decisions aimed at further development of healthcare system, and emphasized that such priority tasks, such as ensuring the interests of the people, protecting public health, are reflected in these documents.

During the meeting, the sides expressed their readiness to continue developing multilateral mutually beneficial partnership relations.
