Newly elected Legislative Chamber holds its first session

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Newly elected Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held its session in Tashkent on 12 January. President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov participated at the session.
MP of the Legislative Chamber and member of UzLiDeP faction at the parliament Dilorom Fayziyeva said MPs listen to speech of the Uzbek President with inspiration.
She noted that 23 years has passed since independence of Uzbekistan and during this short period Uzbekistan constructs democratic state with social-oriented market economy. The country created strong legislative framework, which serves to reforming, democratizing and liberalizing of the society, modernizing of the country, implementing clauses of the Constitution.
Dilorom Fayziyeva said that geopolitical confrontation is growing in the world each day along with threats of radicalism, terrorism and extremism. In such condition, all of us should think about future of the country in condition of globalization, strengthening of competition in the global markets.
She underlined that world know about Uzbekistan and its rich history. This is result of independent development of Uzbekistan. Speaking about it, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov noted importance of studying history of Uzbekistan – starting from independence to today.
Fayziyeva recalled that during Soviet time, officials have to go to many rooms of Soviet officials to receive food products or consumer goods for population. At the same time, Uzbekistan was main producer of raw cotton to all Soviet states. Islam Karimov said that everyone should remember this difficult period.
She said that it is necessary to remember of leaders, who spoke on behalf of people, but they only tried to rule for own goals. She added that it is time to transfer these history to young generation as they should know that the people passed difficult period to achieve the well-beeing.
MP said that main achievement of Uzbekistan is new generation, born during independence years. She underlined that the country pins high hopes to the youth. She noted that everyone should contribute to upbringing of young generation – future of the country. MPs should also do their best to further development of Uzbekistan, she said.
