Share of motor transport in passenger transportation and passenger turnover was the highest – 98.1% and 87.7% respectively.
The number of passengers carried by railway transport increased by 3.4% to 11 million persons, the passenger turnover grew by 12.1% and totaled 2.16 billion pas-km.
About 1.457 million persons were carried by air transport in nine months of 2010, which is up 25.5% year-on-year. The passenger turnover made up 4.266 billion pass-km or 17.6% higher than in January-September 2009.
Passenger transportation carried out by trolleybuses, trams and underground has decreased by 66.1%, 20% and 5.6% respectively.
