Some 76 objects privatized in Uzbekistan in Jan-Sep 2010

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the process of decentralization and privatization, 76 enterprises and projects (including program and non-program objects) were privatized in nine months of 2010, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The greatest number of objects was privatized in Tashkent city (36.8% of total projects privatized in Uzbekistan), Khorezm region (10.5%), Tashkent region (9.2%), Surkhandarya region (7.9%), Andijan region, Bukhara region, Kashkadarya and Namangan region (6.6% each).

In the structure of privatized state property, the highest share falls to objects of the local authority (52.7%), Ministry of Agriculture and Water Industry (18.4%) and other ministries and departments (28.9%).

Receipts of money from privatization and decentralization amounted to 17.3 billion soums in January-September 2010.

The most part of receipts received from decentralization and privatization was observed in Tashkent city (49.9% of total receipts), Tashkent region (17.9%), Ferghana region (11.6%), Kashkadarya region (2.8%), Namangan region and Khorezm region (2.6% each).
