Posco to reconstruct A-380 automobile road

South Korea’s Posco Engineering & Construction Co. signed a contract with the Government of Uzbekistan for reconstruction of automobile road “Guzar-Bukhara-Nukus-Beinau” (A-380) with the cost of US$175.2 million, RIA Novosti reported quoting source in the Republican Road Fund of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.
South Korean company won a tender for reconstruction of automobile road, which was announced in middle of 2013.
Within the contract, the winner will reconstruct 85km of automobile roads with replacement of two-lane asphalt pavement to four-lane cement pavement. The project will be implemented within two years.
The project will be financed due to resources of the multitranche financing programme of the Asian Development Bank for US$1.1 billion.
