Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 July 2020, the population of Uzbekistan is 34.19 million people, an increase of 286,500 since the beginning of the year.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the population is estimated at 17 million 195.9 thousand men and 16 million 995.8 thousand women.

Of the total population, 17 390.0 thousand people live in urban areas and 16 890.7 thousand in rural areas.

For 6 months, 75.5 thousand marriages and 12.8 thousand divorces were registered in the republic.
