Poor Families in Uzbekistan to Receive Subsidies for Planting Trees on Forest Lands
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has approved the Regulation on Allocating Subsidies to Members of Poor Families for Trees Planted on Forest Fund Lands (Resolution No. 798 dated 18 December 2025).
The subsidy amounts to one base calculation unit for every 100 trees planted and nurtured.
Applicants prepare the land under the supervision of a mentor from the forestry organization, carry out the planting, and care for the seedlings throughout one season. The mentor, together with the district or city ecology department, verifies the planted trees based on an official report and photo documentation.
Each participant has a personal account on the “Ecofaol Fukaro” (“Eco-Active Citizen”) platform, where information about the seedlings is entered.
The ecology department confirms or rejects the information within five working days. After confirmation, the department forwards the application to the relevant republican, regional, and city authorities to disburse 50% of the subsidy proportional to the number of trees.
Funds are transferred to the applicant’s bank card within five working days.
This new initiative aims to support poor families and encourage the greening of the country’s forest lands.
