Political fractions discuss draft budget for 2014

The draft state budget of Uzbekistan for 2014 was developed based on progamme of social-economic development of Uzbekistan and forecast assessment of the results of social-economic development in 2013.

The document is directed at keeping sustainable rates of economic growth, macroeconomic stability, balanced growth of exports, foreign trade surplus and payment balance, etc.

It is also planned to continue implementation of programmes on modernization and re-equipment of production capacities, as well as development of road-transport and engineer-communication infrastructure.

The main financial document for 2014 has firm social direction. The document pays great attention to developing social sector, healthcare, education, culture, improving salaries of the people and providing social support to them.

The fractions and MP Group of the Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan developed their positions on the draft state budget for 2014. The lower house will consider the document on 14 November.
