Pharmacies to receive right to pack certain types of medicines

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Starting from 1 November 2018 pharmacies and their branches will get the right to sell “angro” (unpacked) products, packaged and labeled in pharmacy conditions using special equipment and in accordance with the procedure established by the Ministry of Health.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the relevant resolution.

“Angro” products are drugs, produced and sold in a large packaging, as well as used for further production (manufacture) of finished medicines.

The Ministry of Health, by 1 November 2018, will develop and approve the procedure for selling “angro” products by pharmacies and their branches. It will also set requirements for pharmacies, which sell such products.

At the same time, medical institutions, including public institutions, are allowed to purchase “angro” products in compliance with the order of storage and dispensing of medicines.
