Persons wanted for crimes detained on the territory of Russia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Employees of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the city of Tashkent, through well-established cooperation with colleagues from foreign countries, establish the location of the persons, who have committed a crime and were hiding from court and investigation on the territory of other countries.

The Criminal Investigation Department of Tashkent city police constantly takes measures to improve cooperation with law enforcement agencies of the CIS countries in general, and with the Russian Federation in particular.

From the beginning of the year, 9 arrested defendants who had been hiding from the investigation and the court were transferred from the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan.

Thus, on 17 March, three persons were transferred from Moscow to Tashkent, wanted on various criminal charges.

On 24 March, a wanted person on fraud charges were detained in Novosibirsk at the request of Tashkent city police.

With regard to all those detained by the court, imprisonment was chosen as a preventive measure. The detainees were returned to Uzbekistan for further legal proceedings, which ensured the principle of inevitability of punishment.
