Person detained for attempting to bribe a police officer

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 February 2019, an internal affairs officer of Kasansay district of Namangan region E.H. reported to management that, in the course of pre-investigation checks, citizen A.B. offered him a bribe in the amount of US$400 for a positive decision on his case.

As a result of a joint event held by law enforcement officers on 19 February, A.B. arrested while attempting to bribe an employee for US$400 in his office.

A criminal case has been initiated, an investigation is underway.
