People’s Bank Leads Uzbekistan’s Bank Card Market

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has published a ranking of the top 10 banks in the country by the number of bank cards in circulation.

The sector leader remains Khalk Bank (People’s Bank) with 10.3 million cards issued. Agrobank holds a significant market share with 6.6 million cards, while Ipoteka Bank ranks third with 5.2 million cards.

The mid-tier of the largest issuers includes the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity (NBU) with 4.3 million cards and the digital bank TBC with 4.2 million cards.

Banks with an issuance volume of 3.5 million cards include Hamkorbank, Anorbank, and Ipak yo‘li Bank.

Rounding out the top 10 are Uzum Bank with 3 million cards and SQB (Uzpromstroybank) with 2.9 million cards.
