Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Law "On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan" On Private Employment Agencies" was adopted.
According to the amendments, payment for employment services for persons seeking work outside the Republic of Uzbekistan is carried out not at the expense of persons seeking work, but at the expense of the employer.
According to the law, private employment agencies that provide the above services reserve funds in the Fund for the Support and Protection of the Rights and Interests of Citizens Working Abroad, in the amount of 8,500 base calculated values (currently, it is US$50,000).
It was established that the cost of information and consulting services in the field of employment, provided by private employment agencies, should not exceed the size of one basic estimated value (223,000 soums) (currently these services are provided on the basis of a contract or free of charge).
The law also envisages that private employment agencies must enter into cooperation agreements with foreign employers and partners.
Private employment agencies are obliged to register the real-time service contract in the labor-migration information system.
The law comes into force after three months from the date of its official publication.
